Food is the best medicine, and moderation is the magic to longevity. At home and for Edible Times clients, I use fresh ingredients, no funny stuff and plenty of flavor. Recipes here will often fit within the parameters of several healing and lifestyle diets including Paleo, Keto, Whole 30 and GAPS/SCD (Gut and Psychology Syndrome/Specific Carbohydrate Diet). But don’t worry – there are plenty of classic desserts and French macaron troubleshooting, too!
I truly and firmly believe EVERYONE can learn to become a great cook – just ask my reluctant husband who’s learned to craft an excellent hollandaise sauce.
As a career transition in my late twenties, I graduated from the Culinary Institute of America. Along the way I had the honor of working in the kitchen at Thomas Keller’s Bouchon Bistro in Napa Valley. Before the CIA, I helped manage the flagship location of the beloved California bakery SusieCakes, and worked for award-winning executive chef Chad Johnson at Sidebern’s in Tampa (now Haven).
In Christina played the Witch’s Mother in the musical Wicked, covered the news for Fox 4 in Southwest Florida and earned one of those bachelor degrees in media studies from Florida State University… Go Noles!
